Ironically, through the assassination of Charlie Kirk, the world meant to silence the name of the Lord, much like in Acts 6-7 with the martyr Stephen. The assassination has prompted all Christians to question how committed they are to their faith. Is the Gospel of Jesus Christ worth their own lives? America has been a somewhat safe place for the Gospel to flourish, and now that the luxury of our freedom from persecution has broken down, so has our false sense of security. Now, there will be a process that sorts through lukewarm Christians. Formerly, many Americans claimed to be Christian because it was the cultural norm; however, now with the reality of persecution, they will either dig deeper into their faith or forfeit their "faith" and cling to earthly security and treasures.
