Hope in a Dark World

Ironically, through the assassination of Charlie Kirk, the world meant to silence the name of the Lord, much like in Acts 6-7 with the martyr Stephen. The assassination has prompted all Christians to question how committed they are to their faith. Is the Gospel of Jesus Christ worth their own lives? America has been a somewhat safe place for the Gospel to flourish, and now that the luxury of our freedom from persecution has broken down, so has our false sense of security. Now, there will be a process that sorts through lukewarm Christians. Formerly, many Americans claimed to be Christian because it was the cultural norm; however, now with the reality of persecution, they will either dig deeper into their faith or forfeit their "faith" and cling to earthly security and treasures.
I was faced with this dilemma as well. I asked myself, "If not Christ, then what?" That's the ultimate question. When the enemy attempts to frighten us away from our faith, we must ask, "What shall I cling to instead?" Culture, modern academia, and media charge us that there is no God. When the practice of science began, science wasn't a tool used to discontinue belief in God. Early pioneers of the exploration of science held deep religious convictions. Galileo once said, "The laws of nature are written by the hand of God in the language of mathematics." Sir Isaac Newton once said, "He who thinks half-heartedly will not believe in God; but he who really thinks has to believe in God."
However, a change occurred during the Enlightenment, when science began to explain the natural world without the bias of assuming a Creator. Inadvertently, this adds a preconceived bias to the study of science by assuming there is no Creator. Therefore, modern academia and scientists are left to explain new findings through untestable and unobserved theories, which defeats the purpose of abandoning the preconceived bias of God. Subsequently, this leaves discoveries to be influenced by biased, untestable theories, which are then propagated through universities to young intellectuals as truth.
For example, modern science claims that the universe is 13.8 billion years old. The discovery of the expanding universe, the Cosmic Microwave Background Radiation, and the Second Law of Thermodynamics indicates that the universe had a beginning. Therefore, it abolishes a previous argument that the universe had always existed. Instead of confronting the truth, mainstream science quickly attempted to pivot from the obvious explanation by affirming that this universe indeed had a beginning; however, the beginning of this universe was only a byproduct of a multiverse. The multiverse is an unobserved and untestable theoretical hypothesis that attempts to reconcile the universe's inception without the inclusion of a Creator. The abandonment of God is the abandonment of truth and rational thinking.

If there is no God, then there is no hope. This message serves as the epicenter of the enemy's plan; he desires that you be hopeless. Don't be overcome by the plans and desires of the enemy, for they are lies. We aren't the byproducts of chance and randomness. We aren't only bags of water, blood, and tissue. Our minds aren't the byproduct of evolution and electrical fizz in our brains. We are unique in nature, Scripture tells us in Genesis 1:27-28, that we are created in the image of God. Our uniqueness allows us to have dominion over God's creation and have a relationship with God. We are the pinnacle of God's creation; we think critically, have morality written on our hearts, and long for eternity and purpose. Christ is the only one who will satisfy our desires, the only reason we should never fear death, our only hope, and the only source of truth. There will always be those, like Romans 1:18 mentions, who are unrighteous and will suppress the truth, this being until Christ returns to judge the world.
Nonetheless, Christ is true and worthy of any suffering that we may endure for His name's sake. He holds the keys to heaven, and He will not leave or forsake His flock. The Lord says in Isaiah 41:10, "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous hand." Now, we have a choice to make. Follow a hopeless, purposeless, biased, unobserved, and untestable hypothesis, or follow a self-evident, omniscient, omnipotent, intelligent, involved, loving, evidence-supported, self-sacrificial God in Jesus Christ. Who was given glory by the most powerful earthly leaders last night at Charlie Kirk's moving memorial service. Why? Because He is worthy of it all.

My Testimony

Hello,     My name is Hunter Clark. I am  unbelievably excited and humbled by the opportunity that the Lord has provided through this platform. My vision for R.I.R. is to unite like-minded, mission-driven, and somewhat spontaneous followers of Christ to become a global force for the kingdom of God. Our goal is to see the commands of Christ in Matthew 28:16-20 come to fruition.      For me, this is something that I feel the Lord has called me to. Not  necessarily a blog, but much more than that. I hope to see this platform go far beyond what I have in mind. I would eventually love to see Ransomed in Red be able to play a part in training up Christians and sending them out into the world. There is nothing that I would love to see more than R.I.R. helping people who have a heart for the nations understand that calling better and how to execute on that. This is something that I'm passionate about because I feel that I have been called to the nations ...

The Unreached

In the previous blog post, I shared some of my testimony. Our testimonies simply put are personal stories of how God has ransomed us to himself through the cross of Christ. From how we went from being spiritually dead to spiritually alive in Christ. It’s the most powerful weapon that we possess. In my testimony, I mentioned that even before my salvation, most of the people I knew identified as Christians and I even went to a church. Many Christians from the United States can relate to having easy access to the gospel virtually anywhere we go. We are very privileged to be considered a reached people group. What if I told you that there were many places in the world today that are considered unreached? You may not even know what unreached means, but you will know the meaning by the end of this and much more.           People who are considered to be unreached are people who do not have access to a bible, a church, or someone who identif...

The Cost of a Christian Life

What is the cost of a Christian life? What does it look like to follow the Lord Jesus? Even within the Christian church today, there are different views of what a Christian life should consist of. What God demands from His followers, according to "Christians" today, could simply mean trying to live a good life. According to others, it could cost everything. Jesus shares the cost in passages like Luke 14:25-33, where He explains that being a disciple of His demands denying oneself, and being willing to give up anything for the sake of the Kingdom.               This question is vital, and the way you answer could be the difference between eternal life and eternal separation from God. There are far too many people around who claim to be Christ's but never spend time in God's Word, pray to the Lord, preach, teach, exhort, or believe in the mission of Christ. Despite all of that, the person still believes they a...
